At Paycare, we believe that giving back to our communities isn’t just a nice-to-have – it’s a core part of who we are. That’s why every employee is offered two volunteering days a year, giving our team the opportunity to support causes close to their hearts.

Recently, three of our wonderful colleagues, Anne Smith, Lorraine Edwards, and Clare Jarvis, used one of their volunteering days to lend a helping hand at Short Heath Methodist Church. The request came from Janet Wrighton, a much-loved ex-employee, who reached out to ask if we’d be willing to help clean the church she attends.

Armed with rubber gloves and plenty of enthusiasm, the trio spent the day polishing woodwork, clearing cobwebs, and giving the space a well-deserved refresh. The church, which has served its community for generations, was incredibly grateful for the support, and Janet was thrilled to reconnect with her former colleagues in such a meaningful way.

“We were made to feel very welcome,” said Clare. “Janet and the church were so appreciative of our time and effort, they’ve even asked if we can come back next year!”

This is just one example of how Paycare’s volunteering initiative empowers our team to make a real difference. We’re proud to stand behind our people as they give their time to causes that matter.
