Anthony Burns (CEO)
A highly experienced leader and professional, Anthony has been part of Paycare’s senior management team since July 2013, having initially been responsible for leading the organization’s sales and marketing operations. Appointed to the role of CEO in January 2023.
Anthony is committed to working alongside fellow Board Members and the wider team to ensure that, as a not-for-profit organisation, Paycare continues to reinvest the money received through Policyholders’ premiums back into improving the products and services it provides, as well as helping the communities it serves – both now and in the future.
James Knight (Chairman)
Up until his retirement in 2021, James was a Partner at leading regional law firm, FBC Manby Bowdler, and is a corporate/commercial solicitor by training. He also founded and managed the national Hub.Legal network of over 130 law firms. James joined the Board in February 2016, subsequently to be elected Chair of the Board in 2018.
Nicola Mumford (Director)
Nicola is Paycare’s Director of Operations. Her experience at Paycare is invaluable, from sales and customer experience to the delivery of operational requirements. With a strong background in financial and regulated services, she’s well-placed to lead the organisation’s key business functions. Appointed Company Director in January 2023.
Nickeita Ashton (Company Secretary)
Nickeita is Paycare’s Head of Governance and Regulation. She brings a high level of understanding and awareness of regulation to this business along with significant experience in managing Compliance and Quality. Appointed Company Secretary in November 2020.
Jeremy Grace BSc ACA (Chair of Audit and Risk Committee)
Jeremy Grace BSc ACA joined the Board in 2020, and is the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Jeremy brings a wealth of knowledge, as a senior finance professional with over 20 years of experience in financial reporting. This will contribute to the success of Paycare.
Sajida Carr (Non-Executive Director)
Sajida has a history of working in the Third sector and charities sector and brings a wealth of experience that helps Paycare with its work in the community. Sajida moved to her role for Black County Creative as Director of Operations and development in 2014 after a 7 year career with The National Trust.
Helen Hooper (Non-Executive Director)
Helen brings a wealth of senior leadership and business management experience to the Board, she is also Chief Executive of MOHS Workplace Health. Appointed in October 2021.
Milkinder Jaspal (Non-Executive Director)
Milkinder currently work as a Governance Consultant. The role involves providing advice and advocacy on good governance to a variety of organisations including NHS hospitals, universities, colleges, schools, not for profit organisations and GP surgeries.
Milkinder was elected as a counsellor on Wolverhampton city council in 1991 and served as Mayor of the city 2013/14. He currently sits on a variety of committees including Health scrutiny and Pensions.
Driving the company forward is a dedicated team of professional people who care about their customers – thousands of policyholders from all over the country. When you call Paycare you are not connected to a remote call centre – you speak to dedicated people who understand and care about the company.
Senior Management Team
Our senior management team ensures everything runs smoothly here at Paycare, they are dedicated to helping our Policyholders improve their overall quality of life through providing access to cost-effective health and wellbeing solutions.

Guardians of the Policy
Our Policy Administration team work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our policies up to date, making changes to group schemes, adding new policyholders and producing all group invoices they’ve really got their work cut out. You won’t ever see them complaining though!
The Dream Team
With a diary full of customer visits, on-site Health and Wellbeing days, Exhibitions or simply speaking to our customers over the phone, the Marketing and Business Development team help to keep our customers happy, healthy and productive by showing them how to get the best out of their plans.
Whether it’s checking receipts, processing claims or making payments back to our policyholders, the Claims team are always working hard to keep our policyholders happy. In fact, they’re so good at it that over 87% of our claims are processed in just 48 hours.
The A Team
Our Finance team works closely with all departments to ensure our customers are supported with all of their financial transactions. They prepare monthly accounts for the management team, whilst ensuring that everyday banking requirements are in-check and processed. They’re a real whizz with a calculator!
Inquisitors of the Realm
As mysterious as their name suggests, our Business Analyst and Business Manager delve into the unknown; examining our business data and providing efficiencies, they keep the business running smoothly and are continuously looking to make improvements which will support our customers now and in the future.
