We are absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for a prestigious award to recognise our commitment to supporting the Wolverhampton community for almost 150 years!

Paycare is among those shortlisted for the Community Champion award at the upcoming Wolves Foundation Gala Dinner.

It’s the inaugural awards for the Foundation, the official charity of the Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club, with a glitzy ceremony planned for Wednesday 8th November.

A charity spokesman explained:

“The Gala Dinner will celebrate the impact of the Wolves Foundation, as well as raising funds to help us continue our important work to create lifelong learning and skills; healthier, more active people; and safer, stronger communities.

“We will also recognise those individuals and organisations who have been a shining light in the local community during 2023.

“The Community Champion award will be won by a group or organisation which has been a real champion, making a huge difference both to the Wolves Foundation and the wider community across the city.”

Our Partnerships Manager Sally Bromley said it was a real honour to be recognised in the shortlisting for the first-ever event of its kind held by the Foundation.

“As we approach our 150th anniversary in 2024, we remain as committed to supporting the Wolverhampton community as our founders were when the organisation was set up in 1874 (then known as the Patients’ Aid Association).

“Our overarching mission is to improve the health and happiness of the UK, something which the Foundation does so wonderfully right here in our home city of Wolverhampton.

“We’re proud to have a long-standing partnership with the Foundation and we can’t wait to celebrate its work, and the work of all the nominated groups, at the upcoming Gala Dinner.

“Good luck to all of those who have been shortlisted for an award – and most of all, thank you to the Foundation for organising this event, and for continuing to be a beacon of light to those who need it most within the city.”

As well as being a Pack Patron at Wolverhampton Foundation, we pledge our profits to a wide range of good causes each year: including funding grassroots and community groups; sponsoring the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Accessible Lounge at the Molineux; and allocating each team member volunteer days so they can fundraise or provide support for charities close to their hearts.
