We’re incredibly proud to announce that we are joining forces with another Wolverhampton organisation that shares our passion for community, creativity, and celebrating everything our city has to offer.

At Paycare, supporting the health and happiness of individuals, families, and workplaces has always extended beyond our not‑for‑profit health cash plans. That’s why we’re delighted to be partnering with Lockworks Cinema – Wolverhampton’s newest cultural venue – as we work together to champion the city’s creative scene, support local communities, and inspire even more people to discover what makes Wolverhampton so special.

Lockworks Cinema, located within the iconic Chubb Building, officially opened its doors in July 2025. With four beautifully designed art deco screens, luxurious interiors, and flexible spaces that host conferences, open mic nights, and special events, the venue was created with a clear mission: to cement Wolverhampton as a thriving, credible destination for cinema and wider cultural experiences.

Darryl Griffiths, Duty Manager at Lockworks Cinema, explained:
“We launched Lockworks with a vision not just to show films, but to build a cultural hub for the people of Wolverhampton that offers a diverse range of arts, events, and creative experiences. From day one, we’ve wanted to collaborate with organisations who share our passion for our city and the communities within it, and having initially connected with the team at Paycare, it was clear that our values aligned.”

Our partnership will see both organisations working closely to promote Wolverhampton’s cultural offering, share ideas, and broaden engagement across the city. Lockworks is also developing a range of exclusive offers specifically for our Paycare Policyholders, giving even more families, individuals, and workplaces the chance to enjoy the fantastic experiences the venue provides.

Ant Burns, our CEO, shared:
“Wolverhampton has so much to offer, and the launch of Lockworks Cinema marks an exciting new chapter for the city. Working together will allow us to reach more people, create new opportunities for our Policyholders, and celebrate the incredible creative spaces and businesses that make Wolverhampton a truly vibrant place to live, work, and visit.”

This collaboration reinforces our long‑standing commitment to supporting community organisations across the region, while aligning with Lockworks’ ambition to keep Wolverhampton firmly on the cultural map.
