As part of our ongoing commitment to the community, and as a not-for-profit organisation, the team at Paycare is always on the lookout for places to go and people to help. This time it saw a member of the team volunteer their time, and head to Rood End Primary School in Oldbury to give a Marketing Masterclass as part of the school’s ‘Challenge Day’, an event which also hosted representatives from JLR and The RAF!

The visit started with a focus specifically on our very own marketing marvel, Emily, and what her job role entails on a day-to-day basis. Following the talk, Emily hosted a Q&A session with the pupils who were wonderfully positive and proved a real credit to the school. To add an interactive, hands-on element to the workshop, the pupils were tasked with using Paycare’s professional Canva account to create some fabulous marketing flyers and social media content. The aim of these were both to promote the company and, in true Paycare style, shine a light on various health and wellbeing topics.

Event organiser, Sarah Finnigan of Steps Ahead Training, commented “I am massively grateful to Emily for the time she donated to the challenge day. The session was invaluable to pupils and staff alike and has enhanced their knowledge not only of the Marketing profession, but on Paycare as a local employer and the wonderful things they do for the community. As professionals working with young people, health and wellbeing is always at the forefront of our minds, and so the wealth of knowledge that has been shared has been incredibly useful”.

The team at Paycare would like to take this opportunity to thank not only Sarah for a wonderful event, but all the staff and students for such a warm welcome to the school. The enthusiasm and participation shown by the pupils was fantastic, and Emily thoroughly enjoyed herself!

As part of the workshop, pupils were asked to produce a campaign poster to encourage an audience of their choice to visit the dentist, get their eyes tested or keep fit. Here are just a few examples:
