At the beginning of July, Paycare agreed to help support a group of Walking Netball ladies, by providing them with t-shirts and hoodies to wear at their weekly sessions…

This group of enthusiastic ladies meet every Monday at Manor Farm Community School in Rushall, Walsall, and play Walking Netball. The group is run by local Netball Coach and Umpire, Wendy Tooth and has been running for several years now. Not only that, but numbers have also steadily increased and even Covid, couldn’t dampened the ladies enthusiasm – with the group now having 40 members that regularly attend!

Wendy said a huge thank you to Paycare for their newly loved strips and admitted how professional looking the lovely ladies at the club now look!

The Walkers include ladies from all walks of life, all with the same common interests of simply having some fun, keeping active and playing some netball. Their members notably include Denise Frankham, Chair of Bilston Town FC and  the former Olympic medallist and recognised as one of the most successful female sprinters in British athletics history, Kathy Cook MBE.

Paycare’s Partnership Engagement Officer, Sally Bromley
visited the group earlier this month, to meet the Walkers and to join in the action. Speaking at the session, Sally said:

‘It’s fantastic to see these lovely ladies enjoying their netball and keeping active and I’m delighted that Paycare has been able to support them in a way that has enhanced their enjoyment. Having just had a go myself, be warned, it is much harder than it looks!’
