At Paycare, giving back to our communities is an integral part of our ethos, which is why we launched the MyGiving Scheme.

Over the past four years, since we launched this, we’ve raised and donated around £15,000 to worthwhile charities and causes. And to conclude the year, our team are continuing their fundraising efforts, raising valuable monies for national and regional organisations.

One charity very close to our hearts is The Haven Wolverhampton, who we’ve supported for several years now. They provide aid and a safe space for women and children experiencing, or at risk of, domestic abuse.

So, to support them this festive season we’re creating Christmas hampers – an initiative led by Sally Bromley, our Partnerships Manager, and Rebecca Lister, our Customer Improvements Lead. We’re hoping to provide the women and children seeking refuge at The Haven Wolverhampton with some joy this Christmas – enabling them to pull crackers at the dinner table, exchange gifts and enjoy sweet treats.

The Haven’s Fundraising Manager, Jade Secker said: “We can’t say thank you enough – as always – for helping to make Christmas magical for the women and children we support at The Haven. Your donation has played a part in ensuring the festive season was special; from women and children being able to pull a cracker together on Christmas Day as they enjoyed their Christmas dinner, through to opening gifts and playing family board games. These special memories help towards replacing past Christmas experiences that may not have felt as bright. We could not have done this without your support.”

Plus, we recently donated £430 to Macmillan Cancer Support after we hosted a coffee morning, and added the generous MyGiving donation from Customer Support Manager Clare Jarvis.

Our Commercial Director, Anthony Burns said: “With money a little tighter for us all this year, we recognise that our support is needed now more than ever. We’re grateful to our loyal customers who support us, which in turn allow us to serve our community and give a little back. And we’re incredibly proud of our team, external partners and supporters who enable us to arrange and participate in these fantastic fundraising events – we hope to continue the MyGiving scheme for many more years to come”.
