We’re beyond thrilled to announce we’ve been shortlisted for a community award this week!

The finalists for the Black Country Chamber Business Awards 2021 have just been revealed – and we were delighted to see Paycare among the shortlisted names in the Kindness in the Community category.

Winners of all the categories will be announced on November 11th at Wolverhampton Racecourse, during an Awards Reception held after a Conference featuring a range of speakers from the business and policy world.

Both events will have a scaled down in-person audience as well as being streamed live online to those unable to attend.

It’s all part of the Black Country 2.0 initiative, launched earlier this year as a commitment from the Chamber to help members ‘reboot, rebuild and rebound’, with the awards celebrating those who’ve faced ‘tremendous adversity…but shown amazing resilience and ingenuity’.

Our Commercial Director Anthony Burns said:

“We’re delighted that our dedication to the communities we serve has been picked up on by the Black Country Chamber judges, and we can’t wait for the winners to be announced next month.

“Reaching the final is a testament to the whole Paycare team, who go above and beyond each day to ensure we really are improving the health and happiness of the UK. For the past 147 years we’ve been committed to not only supporting our Policyholders, but also assisting communities through the sponsorship of groups and good causes, donations to charitable organisations, voluntary work, sharing health resources and much more.

“Our priorities during the pandemic were to continue providing value to our Policyholders, support our staff through their individual and collective challenges, and find innovative new ways to continue our community support despite lockdowns, social distancing, temporary closure of many social and sporting groups, and various other potential barriers.

“Knowing we’ve been able to achieve so much and positively impact the lives of others over almost 150 years – including during a global pandemic – is a fantastic feeling, and it’s the icing on the cake to be shortlisted for this award and recognised by the expert panel of judges for exactly that!”
