An IT firm which specialises in preventing fraud and financial crime has praised its Health Cash Plan provider Paycare.
The 380-strong team at Synectics Solutions have been benefitting from Paycare’s Policy for five years. The company was launched more than 30 years ago and works with banks, FTSE 250 companies and the Cabinet Office among others to syndicate data, solve problems and deliver insights.
HR Business Partner Janice Humphrey said: “We wanted to reward and recognise our staff with a tangible benefit that they could utilise for their wellbeing, and with the additional option of including their partner too.
“MyPocketGP [Paycare’s telephone and video call GP appointment service] proved to be invaluable during the pandemic and, since then, the counselling service together with the benefits such as dental, optical etc have been brilliant.
“As we are an IT company, many of our employees have used their Paycare to cover physiotherapy and reflexology costs.”
As to why Synectics chose Paycare as its HCP provider: “Their ethos is similar to our own organisation in that it is a people-centric business and keeps its feet on the ground.
“The relationship between us and Paycare is maintained with the excellent service we receive from our lovely Account Manager Stephen [Burton-Pye].
“Nothing is too much trouble and he keeps us updated with developments and new ideas for us to utilise Paycare to achieve optimal usage.”
And their advice for any companies looking to introduce a Health Cash Plan?
“Do your research and canvass feedback from your employees to ensure that it is something they would value.”
Stephen added: “A lot of the employees of Synectics Solutions are based in the office and spend lots of time sitting at work stations using their computers; having a Paycare plan in place allows them to book a registered physiotherapist or chiropractor without the need to wait for weeks via the NHS, this benefits them as individuals and the business in terms of reducing the likelihood of team members being off sick.”
