Our sponsorship of Penn Cricket Club will enable it to develop its youth section, make vital improvements to its facilities, and enable it to support the wider community by opening up its venue for functions including birthday parties, christenings and wedding receptions.
John Marshall, Chairman and Secretary of Penn Cricket Club, explained: “This is the third season Paycare has sponsored us, and we’re thrilled to have them on board for the years ahead. We’re already initiating our long-term plan and reaffirming our reputation as a club which offers individuals aged between 9 and 74 the chance to enjoy competitive cricket, and come together as a community.”
As part of the agreement, Penn Cricket Club is developing its youth section and partnering with various schools and facilities, including The Way Youth Zone – of which we’re a Founding Patron – with the goal of making it a Centre of Excellence within five years.
The club also has plans to enhance its equipment and develop a preparation and maintenance programme for the ground throughout the winter months, which has already received positive feedback from players, members and umpires.
“We’re making huge developments to the pavilion and have opened up the venue to our local community for family, social and fundraising events. And, we’ve been able to host our first ever Club Presentation evening since we formed in 1908 which is just fantastic, and a great way for us to recognise the achievements of our players. We have solid growth and development plans in place for the next five years, and with the continued support from Paycare, we’re excited to be bringing these to life.”
Kevin Rogers, CEO of Paycare, added: “Penn Cricket Club does a fantastic job at bringing together the local community and encouraging people of all ages and abilities to enjoy competitive cricket. We’re passionate advocates of helping people live even more healthy, active lifestyles, and we’re excited to be supporting the club in the months and years to come.”
