Paycare’s commitment to the community has been recognised by the judges of a prestigious award.
We’re delighted to announce we were named as winner of the community category at the West Midlands FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards on Thursday (17th March).
Sadly, none of the team were able to attend the ceremony, so FSB’s David Caro accepted the award on our behalf.
We want to highlight the fantastic work of their fellow finalists Creative Optimistic Visions, Orsa Housing and Revolution Gymnastics Club.
Our director Anthony Burns says:
“Our aim has always been to make the UK healthier and happier, and we believe that comes not only from directly supporting our customers through our Health Cash Plans, but also from our support of communities.
“We strongly believe it’s not just about financial support, it’s also about giving our time and expertise, and encouraging communities to join together, enjoy sports and the arts, and collectively improve their wellbeing.
“We’re honoured to have won the West Midlands FSB community award, and we’d like to thank the organisers, judges and our fellow nominees – we’re just sorry we weren’t able to join the party as it looks like it was an absolutely fantastic event.”
Our awards entry aimed to show how we’d maintained our commitment to supporting others through our almost-150-year history, sponsoring a huge range of organisations including many grass-roots sports clubs.
Recent good work highlighted in the awards entry included our donation to the Creative Connections project run by Creative Black Country, sponsoring a co-working office space at Wolverhampton Cricket Club, netball coaching for SEN pupils, and training for young people transitioning to the next stage of education via the Black Country Consortium.
We also shared how we regularly donate food and supplies to charities including Good Shepherd, The Haven Wolverhampton, and foodbanks across the Midlands.
Once again, a huge thank you to FSB, the judges, and all involved in us receiving this wonderful award! We are beyond thrilled, and we will absolutely maintain our steadfast commitment to the community going forward 😊🧡✨
