We love the feel of the sun beaming down on our backs but we’re often not used to the temperatures like those we’ve seen this July (unless of course we’re on holiday abroad) and so when it does happen, we primarily focus our attention on digging out our sunglasses and choosing which pair of shorts to wear, rather than taking care of our wellbeing and monitoring our hydration levels.

Keeping hydrated doesn’t have to be a chore – check out these top tips:
- Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables (did you know that strawberries are a whopping 92% percent water!)
- Drink at regular intervals and create reminders throughout the day so you don’t forget
- Keep an eye out for early signs of dehydration– headaches and muscle tiredness are common signs, as well as dry skin and sleepiness. Surprisingly hunger is often mistaken for thirst, so reach for that glass of water before you have another biscuit!
- Grab a water bottle and fill it up before heading out to avoid going long periods of time without a drink. (Check out our Twitter page to win on of the exclusive Paycare sports bottles on offer!)
