As our fantastic former CEO Kevin Rogers begins his retirement – albeit it still being here in an advisory capacity for Paycare! – we wanted to ensure he knew exactly what a big impression he’d left not only on the team, but also those in the wider community and partner organisations too.

We wanted to share some of the well wishes sent to Kevin, so here are a selection of messages from people who’ve worked with him over the years:

Paula Jones, Head of Commercial and Events at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, said:

“Kevin, we have always thought your time here at the Grand should be on the stage: from your sparkling dinner suit to your insatiable chuckling at panto, you have filled our times with fun. You are a fabulous supporter of the theatre and a wonderful man, so from all involved at this iconic venue to you, an iconic man, we wish you luck and laughter and we look forward to seeing you more now you have time to visit.”

Stephen Burton-Pye, Paycare’s Group Services Manager, said:

“Kevin was not only my boss at Paycare, but also my friend; I am truly grateful for working at Paycare, the culture, ethos and values are simply brilliant and so many clients aspire to be like Paycare.

“Time and good friends are two things that become more valuable the older you get, and I thank Kevin for everything that he has done and stands for.”

Rhiannon Williams, Head of Agency at Zen Communications, said:

As a business, we’ve had the honour of working alongside Kevin for many years now, and his generosity and warmth literally have no bounds – from the care and respect he shows his team and all those around him to his unwavering commitment and dedication to his local (and wider) communities.

“Kevin is undoubtedly one of the most genuine, compassionate, and wonderful human beings that I personally have the privilege of knowing, and I know that he will continue to make a very real impact on people’s lives as he embarks on his next adventure.”

Jade Secker, Fundraising Manager at The Haven Wolverhampton, said:

“Kevin Rogers! What a wonderful soul. From the moment I met him to talk about The Haven and how Paycare could get involved in supporting vulnerable women and children in our shared community, he has done nothing but help. From organising gig nights at the Light House, through to sponsoring our quiz nights, from rallying the Paycare troops to take on abseils and skydives, through to organising a charity football tournament at Molineux.

“He has even been a huge part of sponsoring some really key services at The Haven including our live chat facility. He is such a caring person who truly wants to make a difference to as many people as possible; it has been an honour to work with him and I know he will be so missed from the Paycare team.

“Thank you Kevin for all that you have done for the women and children we support at The Haven – you should be so proud of all you have achieved in your career!”

Julie Hodson, Paycare Customer Service Assistant (who’s been part of the team for 35 years!)

“Kevin first came to work here and was in the Finance Team.  He settled into the role straight away and was a pleasure to work with. Then the CEO job came up and we all asked Kevin to go for it.

“The day he got the job we were so pleased.  A former member of staff ran cross the office and flung her arms round Kevin and gave him a big bear hug. I don’t know who was more surprised him or us.  So funny! We wish Kevin all the best and hope he gets to still enjoy his golf and holidays.”

Sarah White, Corporate Sales at Molton Brown, said:

“Kevin, who would have thought a girl from Leeds and a guy from Wolverhampton would have struck up a conversation about our love for Scottish Football in the Centre of Glasgow. From there we chatted about our respective companies and the Paycare and Molton Brown partnership came to fruition a few months later.

“However more importantly a friendship was born, both you and Lindsey had me captivated. We’ve laughed, laughed and laughed some more, days at the races when we bet big, £2.00 each way in my case, days at football living it up in the Directors box at Ibrox and I look forward to many more to come.

“Anthony and I will keep our partnership going strong with the same passion, of that we can guarantee. THANK YOU for being you, one amazing, inspirational and thoroughly nice bloke! Love Sarah x”

Suzanne Reid, Head of Commercial at Marketing at Motherwell Football Club, said:

“It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Kevin over the years through the club’s partnership with Paycare. His professionalism and support over the years has been very much appreciated by myself, and the Motherwell FC Board.

“I will personally miss seeing him at Fir Park and wish him a very happy retirement. Thank you for everything Kevin. You will be sadly missed.”

There are so many people wishing Kevin well that we could fill multiple blogs, but for now we’ll simply say: thank you Kevin, for all you’ve done and continue to do for Paycare and the Community! The world is a brighter place with you in it, Kevin Rogers! 😊🧡
