At Paycare, we’re proud to call the Black Country our home, and even prouder to support initiatives that celebrate its incredible legacy. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with the Dudley Canal & Tunnel Trust, an organisation dedicated to preserving one of the region’s most fascinating historical treasures.
Together, we’re shining a spotlight on the Dudley Canal and Caverns, a site that tells the 428-million-year story of how the Black Country’s unique geology helped shape the world. From limestone caverns to historic waterways, this remarkable destination offers immersive experiences that connect visitors to the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.
As two organisations deeply rooted in the Black Country, Paycare and the Dudley Canal & Tunnel Trust share a common mission: to support our communities and celebrate what makes this region truly special.
Ant Burns, CEO of Paycare, explains:
“As a Black Country organisation through and through, we’re passionate about celebrating what makes this area truly special. The Dudley Canal and Tunnel Trust plays an essential role in protecting our shared heritage, while offering unforgettable experiences that connect people of all ages to the region’s story.”
This collaboration is more than just a partnership, it’s a celebration of local pride, history, and education. Both Paycare and the Trust are embarking on new strategic journeys focused on community engagement, and we’re excited to work together to raise awareness of this incredible local treasure.
As part of our partnership, we’re creating special offers and exclusive experiences for Paycare Policyholders. That means more opportunities to enjoy the Trust’s guided boat trips through its network of historic tunnels and caverns, and to discover something extraordinary right on your doorstep.
Paul Crofts, CEO of the Dudley Canal and Tunnel Trust, shares:
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Paycare, an organisation that shares our passion for community and people. Together, we can reach new audiences, support our local economy, and ensure the Black Country’s story continues to be told for generations to come.”
Both Paycare and the Dudley Canal & Tunnel Trust are proud members of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Magnificent Seven’ initiative, a collective dedicated to promoting the very best of the region under the banner of the ‘Bostin’ Black Country’.
Now in our 151st year, Paycare remains committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of thousands across the region. From our work with the Grand Theatre and Wolves Foundation to our partnerships with the University of Wolverhampton and now the Dudley Canal & Tunnel Trust, we’re proud to stand alongside organisations that empower our communities.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting collaboration, and if you’re a Policyholder, keep an eye out for your chance to explore the wonders of the Dudley Canal and Caverns!
